Mars Cafe

Nuzzled comfortably into the Drake neighborhood, about a block off campus, you will find Mars Cafe. Located in a storefront, it feels modern with a hint of hipster from the moment you see it. As you walk in there is a leather couch to your left and extensive seating to your right and towards the back. The counter space is large, and you can see your coffee being made start to finish. The menu is also rather extensive although instead of having many choices for coffee, it has assortments of things. From coffee to sandwiches to wines you could have whatever pleased your fancy at the time. This coffee shop stands out from the other though in that their baristas have beautifully mastered latte art! It was so fun to be handed my drink with a gorgeous leaf on top! The prices in this shop were extremely reasonable, and made you feel like you could be adventurous and try something new. I only could find one fault with them and it was that from the counter you could see the dishwasher open with dirty dishes only a foot or so from the food prep table. I know to some this is not a big deal, but I am very sanitation minded and that was a no go for me. That was the only thing I could find that did not please me! Overall they made a fun stop and they worked quickly  so you did not have to wait forever for your drink. Perfect stop for college and high school students to study or get together to chat.
